Blockader is a fast-paced 2D action roguelite where you tackle short, hectic waves of enemies. You control a small rat-like creature on a small circular planet. Staying alive mostly comes down to movement, positioning, and making smart upgrade choices. Enemies come from every direction, and if you stay in one place too long, you can quickly run out of places to run.
After each wave, you get a selection of upgrades that can change the way your run develops. Movement, Health, Ammo, Rush, and other abilities can be combined to create a build that fits your playstyle. Between attempts, Gear, Characters, and the Skill Tree add another layer of progression, while the Collection system gives you things to discover as you keep playing.
The first few waves can feel manageable, which makes it tempting to move less and focus on clearing enemies. That usually becomes a problem later. As the arena gets crowded, having enough space to turn and escape matters just as much as your damage.
When choosing upgrades, look at the build you already have. Movement boost is good when enemies are getting hard to dodge, and Health gives you more room for mistakes. Ammo and offensive upgrades can help you clear groups before they get on you. If none of the choices fit your current setup, save a reroll for a more important moment.
