Knife Man is a time machine that takes you back to the '90s, when your dad gave you a VHS camera for Christmas. Besides, with your friends, you are actually going to shoot a straightforward horror film. However, the challenge is not only to make a film but also to turn each shot into a real horror experience. Your character, the camera's position, and the recording of "takes" are all under your control — together with the risk of the WebGL build crashing or leaking memory. If you encounter any glitches, you can get the standalone Windows version for stable gameplay.
It is possible to play alone or together with others - the game is a bit of an experiment, as it takes you back to shooting horror videos by hand, which is really exciting yet quite nerve-wracking.
Top Features of the Game
VHS camcorder & slasher flicks: A camcorder is your main tool for capturing every single take — you can spin, rotate, and record the whole scene.
World & Character interaction: You can move, jump, squat, interact, and so on with various props and the environment to make the shot.
Windows support to avoid crashes: If the WebGL version fails, you still have the Windows standalone version.
Game jam product: The game belongs to the category of games that were made within the time limits of a game jam (ShroomJam 2025), hence it has an indie, experimental atmosphere - it might not be perfect, but it's certainly very creative.

Game Tips
Take your shot each time — the rush may cause the shot to “break,” or the WebGL build to crash.
If the game is slow or buggy, try the dedicated Windows version — it’s usually more stable than the browser version.
Post-film, your character’s movements are very close—due to the game using animation from Mixamo, some scenes could be a bit “dry,” thus you will have to get lighting and camera angles right to have the film look more natural.
Do not expect much from perfection — this is an indie jam game, so treat it as an experiment; do not set your expectations too high.
